Seattle Streetcar is a modern streetcar system serving urban core areas around downtown. The system is consisted of South Lake Union Line serving the north end of downtown and First Hill Line serving the east and south edges. Both lines connect with Sound Transit Link Light Rail.

There are currently two projects underway for expansion of the streetcar network. The first project is the Center City Connector. It is a segment hat will link the South Lake Union and First Hill Streetcar lines, creating a system that will connect over a dozen Seattle neighborhoods in Seattle's Center City. It will also serve the City of Seattle's three inter-modal hub areas at Westlake, Colman Dock, and King Street Station. The Connector will also provide convenient transfers to: the Third Avenue transit corridor at both ends of downtown Seattle, and Link Light Rail at multiple downtown transit tunnel stations. Completion is planned for 2020.

The Broadway extension is a 1/2 mile extension of the line from Broadway/Denny to Broadway/Roy with an intermediate station at Harrison. This project is currently on hold
