Between Hercules and El Cerrito, buses alternate between serving Hilltop Mall and the Richmond Parkway Transit Center. Trips that serve Hilltop are designated at JL and those that serve Richmond Parkway Transit Center are designated at JR.

Some weekday night trips and all weekend trips extend north to serve Willow Ave.
