Dumbarton Bridge

Dumbarton Bridge links Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, and Menlo Park on the mid-Peninsula with Newark, Union City, and Fremont in the East Bay.

Dumbarton Bridge has a bicycle/pedestrian trail on the south side of the bridge.

The following routes operate on weekdays only. There's no bus service on weekends and holidays.

• Dumbarton Express - Union City and Palo Alto

• AC Transit M - Union City and San Mateo County

• AC Transit U - Fremont and Stanford University

Transit Alternatives

• VTA express bus route 180/181 links Fremont and San Jose. VTA routes 22 and Caltrain provide service between San Jose and Palo Alto.

• AC Transit M provides service on the San Mateo - Hayward Bridge on weekends and holidays.
